Wildside Tented Camp

In the heart of the Entabeni Game Reserve lies the Wildside Tented Camp, an intimate venue placed against the backdrop of the regal Waterberg mountain range. With over 10,000 hectacres (100 sq km) of lush vegetation and wild species unique to the region, the Entabeni game reserve is renowned for the unique opportunity for visitors to see some of the most majestic creatures in the world in their natural habitat.

The Wildside Tented Camp gives visitors the chance to be close to nature while relaxing either in luxury tents–complete with wooden decks– or beautiful en suite cottages. The camp has a stunning lounge, boma area, and dining area complete with buffet. While the camp is a non-electricity camp- due to its central location in the heart of the Waterberg biosphere– the host of luxury amenities are available, including lanterns for evening entertainment and relaxation, gorgeous en suite bathrooms with hot showers, hot water bottles and more. And on warm days, a gorgeous outdoor pool is available to cool off and take a swim.

A host of activities are available at the Wildside Tented Camp, including a Safari Lodge and Game Drives famed for their opportunities to see some of the most amazing creatures in the world in their natural habitat. The Entabeni Game Reserve is home to elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos, warthogs and more with the stunning Eugene Marais Cycad and other amazing local flora and fauna as their setting.

Explore the bushveld’s amazing terrain with ravines unspoiled, forest hills, and a chance to see the Big Five and other game. Along with Game Drives in both the afternoon and evening, guided nature walks and bird watching are also readily available at the Camp. The Camp features a beautiful winding road passing down a 2,000 ft escarpment through the Yellow Wood Gorge, which has inspired awe among those who visit for countless generations. The foot of the escarpment is a lush, vegetated wetlands area, attracting stunning birds of all sorts– the perfect place for birdwatchers.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a stunning waterfall or schedule a horseback ride. When the sun goes down, enjoy a wonderful moonlit dinner at the boma and experience traditional South African hospitality and cuisine at its finest at the restaurant and bar. A relaxing evening ends with a campfire at the boma, setting the ambiance of a perfect African night.
