Ivory Tree Game Lodge is nestled in the north eastern region of the Pilanesberg National Park. The Lodge offers exceptional accommodation and service from the single traveller to your conference groups. Some facilities includes a stunning feature pool, bar, conference room, dinning room, boma, reception and a curio shop. The most beautiful natural blending Spa called “Amani Spa” awaits you, ensuring that you are totally spoiled when it comes to all the different treatments.
A normal day’s itinerary could be followed in this sequence below: First you would be given a wake up call whereby you would go to the restaurant for your tea and biscuits, then a game drive would be followed. After the game drive you would have breakfast and then leisure time up to lunch. After lunch you would have leisure time again until the afternoon game drive. Once you have done the afternoon game drive, you then would have dinner, and the rest of the night for leisure.
Game drives are done with some of the most experienced game trackers available, so you will see more than the big five during your long stay. During Afternoon Game drives the ranger will usually stop for the well known “Sundowners”. Ivory Tree Lodge’s Cuisine is unparalleled with breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner at the restaurant with food that will make you crave for more..
Pilanesberg National Park is home to over 8 000 species of animals and the park is now one of the privileged reserves where the “Big Five” can be viewed. A major reason for Pilanesberg’s diversity of animals is that it lies in the transition zone between the dry Kalahari in the west and the humid Lowveld of the North West Province. The lodge is situated in the North West Province and is in a malaria free zone close to the Sun City Resort, and approximately two & half hours drive from Johannesburg.
Ivory Tree Lodge was awarded the Provincial Winner 2014 – North West Province for Service Excellence in the Accommodation category. The judging was largely based on guest feedback, as measurements were put in place to allow the public to cast their vote. Judges were comprised of the Tourism Grading Council assessors, trade partners, tour operators and independent auditors who oversaw the judging process. Judges considered the consumer feedback, site visits, TGCSA scores, accessibility and affordability, authenticity of the experience and the overall quality of the experience.
